- This year is the 40th Anniversary of Terry Fox’s Marathon of Hope and Avonlea School is proud to be continuing the legacy of one of our greatest heroes. Although we were not able to maintain our long-standing Dunnet Park traditions, it is very important to continue to honour Terry and his important work. No pledge forms went home this year, but we are hopeful that families will continue to support the Terry Fox Foundation by contributing online. Students can set up their online accounts by visiting www.terryfox.ca/Avonlea and encouraging family and friends to contribute that way.
