Meet Our New Staff – Mrs. Kirsty Abbott
“My name is Kirsty Abbott, formerly Kindrachuk. I just graduated this past April with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and minor in Kinesiology from Briercrest College (2015-2020). I also played for 5 years and co-captained for 3 on the Briercrest women’s volleyball team at Briercrest College— this year, I am in the CCAA Female apprenticeship coaching program encouraging female leadership in sport under my former head coach Nolan Weinmaster. My overall aspiration for my career is to pursue Physiotherapy— I love movement, motivation, and growing one’s potential! I’ve really enjoyed working alongside people in their journeys and learning and growing to better equip them for the future!
As an athlete for most of my life, I’ve learned so much through the sports I’ve played, but I’ve also got to coach many kids along the way and build into them in volleyball camps, as well as being a leader at a summer day youth centre for general sports and activities.
Spending time at the school as an educational assistant with the staff and students here at CES will gift me with so much experience in leadership, servanthood, and communication skills, and it’s also just so much fun! “
