SCC Literacy Day Contest!
We have created an easy, fun way to be involved in our CES Literacy Day. Just by participating, you could WIN A NEW BOARD GAME FOR YOUR CLASSROOM!
All you have to do to enter the contest is:
– Take a photo of you with your favourite book (make sure we can see the title).
– Type 2-3 sentences that summarize the book or give an explanation of why it’s your favourite book.

Family Literacy Day takes place on January 27, 2021 – an annual initiative in its 22nd year that aims to raise awareness of the importance of learning together as a family.
This year’s theme is Travel the World Together (not literally of course!). After a year of limited mobility, ABC Life Literacy Canada, the founder of Family Literacy Day, is encouraging families to use their imagination to explore and travel the world from the comfort of their home.

Meet Our New Staff!
Hey, I am Jeanine Beaudry and I will be teaching Kindergarten in the afternoons after Christmas. I feel so fortunate to be a part of CES school. I have a husband, Jeff, and four kids, Ayden (11), Emery (9), Sylena (5), and Jackson (1). Ayden and Emery attend CES and love it. I grew up on a farm by Central Butte, attended the U of S where I received my teaching degree, then moved to Alberta and lived in Strathmore for 9 years where I taught in the village of Rockyford.
