Bulldogs Fall Short with Good Effort in Gull Lake
The Bulldogs and Lions battled on a soggy field in Gull Lake. The defence’s held strong in the opening quarter with the score 8-6 Bulldogs after one quarter of play. The second quarter saw good defensive stands and well executed offensive plays. The Bulldogs were trailing by a touchdown with less than a minute left in the second quarter and driving the field. With 10 seconds left the Bulldogs threw a pass which was intercepted on the Lions 2 yard line and returned for a touchdown. The score at the half was 28-14 Gull Lake.
Gull Lake came out strong in the third quarter with two unanswered touchdowns. The Bulldogs offence stalled as the Lions defence played a strong second half. In the fourth quarter the Bulldogs ran out of gas and the final score was 57-20 Lions.
