Day of PINK
Wednesday April 1st was Red Cross Day of Pink. Day of Pink is a day people are encouraged to wear pink to show their support and bring awareness against bullying.
On April 1st the students had a busy day of activities. We had our annual Yearbook Easter Dinner. Students, Parents & Grandparents came by for a delicious lunch. (Thanks Mrs. Kurz!) After lunch everyone from K-12 took part in an In Motion activity. They braved the blustery day and headed uptown to show off their new PINK SHIRTS courtesy of Hawks Agro & Dupont.
For a buddy activity, students got together and made puzzle pieces with positive sayings and when put together make giant Pink Shirts! The finished products are displayed proudly on our Pride Board in the front entrance. Stop by and see the great positive affirmations our students came up with!
The staff held a PINK bake sale at lunch and many families made donations of yummy pink treats as well. There were cupcakes, cookies, chocolates and cakes all in lovely shades of PINK! Our bake sale raised $266.50 for the Red Cross to support Pink Day!
