Terry Fox Run a Success
Students and staff participated in the annual Terry Fox Run on September 27. There was a short assembly in the gym, led by Mr. Blair, then walkers and runners took to the streets. Members of the community offered cookies when they returned. Over $1500 was raised. Congratulations to the staff and students of EGS.

On Thursday, June 21st, the School Community Council is sponsoring a free hamburger lunch for all École Gravelbourg students to celebrate the end of the school year.
The lunch will consist of one hamburger/cheeseburger, a juice box, veggies and fruit.

Rylan Kleckner and Chloe Pouteaux continue to experience success in mixed badminton. They won the gold medal in districts.
Badminton Success for EGS
Students at EGS have been competing in several badminton tournaments. Rylan Kleckner and Chloe Pouteaux were successful in capturing gold medals in April. In the Senior Badminton Sections, Justin Geiger and Ben Wilson competed in the boys doubles and Rylan Kleckner and Chloe Pouteaux represented the mixed doubles.
Dental Hygiene at EGS
Mrs. G-B’s kindergarten to grade 3 class had a special visitor this week and learned all about good dental hygiene. Students were excited to go home with a goodie bag which included information, a toothbrush and toothpaste.
100 Days and Counting
Some of the students celebrated the 100th day of school. This is an opportunity for them to learn place value, time, calendars and to have fun while they are doing it. Kudos to the teachers who celebrate 100 days.
Go Science
Students at EGS were treated to live science presented by the Regina Science Centre. Each grade experienced a different domain, from chemical reactions to forces and light.
Interactive experiments were the highlight of the day.
Pink Day Celebrated
Students at EGS celebrated Pink Day by sporting anti-bullying shirts, doing a buddy activity and eating pink cookies. They became kindness superheroes, and wrote positive text messages for the school to read.

Oratory Contest Winners
Congratulations to all the students who participated in the 2018 Oratory Contest. First and second place winners will go on to represent the school at the Music Festival.
Concours Oratoire 2018
The Concours Oratoire took place on January 22. Students in French immersion from grades 1-7 competed for a spot in the Music Festival. Winners will recite their poems again from April 18-21.
