KCS / EMG host 2A Boys Provincials
Feel welcome to jump on the bandwagon with us! Please SHARE this post to get the word out there! As host schools for the 2015 Provincial Championship, we are looking for VOLUNTEERS and DONATIONS. If you can lend a helping hand for an hour or an afternoon or a day, we want to add your name to the list. We will try to choose a job you’re comfortable with such as working at the gate, working in the booth, or preparing food. We will not assign you to a job that you are not con…fident with. Please leave your name and phone number with any staff member at KCS. They will add your name to the list so someone can call you to discuss what role you could play. Provincials are Friday, November 27th and Saturday, November 28th. There will be jobs to tackle prior to provincials and jobs to tackle the weekend of provincials. We appreciate any volunteer time you can offer us! This is a huge undertaking to ensure a positive provincial experience for all involved!
If you’d like to donate MONEY or PRODUCTS, please contact Mrs. Senicar or Mrs. Pilgrim at 264-3933. With ten teams competing, we will need products to include in team gift baskets. We are open to your ideas – could be souvenir items to serve as mementos of their trip to provincials, practical items such as deodorant, toothpaste, towels, or other items we haven’t thought of yet. We want to welcome all of our provincial athletes to our corner of the province and do all we can to ensure they have a positive and memorable experience!
Thank-you in advance for helping us pass the word, volunteering your time, providing donations, and cheering on our athletes – we greatly appreciate the role you play in supporting the youth in our communities, on this initiative and throughout the entire year. It is this teamwork that paves the road to success as our children find their way in the world…
Background Information:
Kincaid Central School and Ecole Secondaire College Mathieu have a jointly sponsored senior boy’s volleyball team. This co-op program has been in place for seven years due to low enrollment in both schools. It has been a very successful program which has resulted in many appearances in the provincial championships and a pair of provincial championship medals.
The communities of Kincaid and Gravelbourg in co-operation with these schools have been awarded the 2016 2A Boys Provincial Championship hosted in the final weekend of November, 2015. Ten teams from throughout the province will compete for the provincial championship.
