KCS Service of Remembrance
Remembrance Day tradition is alive and well at KCS. Thank-you to all who attended our service this morning. Thank-you to Captain Shawn Finn – “a pilot with 15 Wing who was in Afghanistan from December 2011-November 2012 as part
of NATO’s Training Mission to Afghanistan” – for presenting at the service and connecting with students in the classroom for the afternoon. We have a better understanding of the sacrifices involved in serving our country and a deeper appreciateon for what it means to be Canadian.
Our annual Remembrance Day service is a solid reflection of the collaboration between school and community and the positive student leadership opportunities at KCs – Legion members, elementary and senior choir members, student accompanists for choir, Laying of Wreaths by SRC members, K -12 student participation in the annual contest. Thank-you to ALL members of the team that bring this together each year, with special thanks to Mrs. Loverin for her guidance and hard work!
