Reduce Reuse Recycle

At KCS we now have our own blue recycling bin!

We have recycled paper and cardboard for some time and staff hauled it to different recycling outlets. It will be so much easier now that we have our own blue bin!

As part of our reduce reuse recycle mindset, we are encouraging all students to cut down on the use of styrofoam plates and plastic utensils they have been allowed to use from the schools supply. We encourage students to bring a plate from home if they cook a panini.

The Grade 4/5 room has gone a step further and has their own plates and use a dishpan to wash them each lunch break. Way to go guys!
