First Nations film and storytelling tour
Jeanne Corrigal spent the day at King George School presenting to our students in 4 different age groups. She shared the video she produced about Cree Elder Jim Settee, and his matchbox teachings. Her message was well received by our students. Elder Settee epitomized life long learning receiving his university degree well into his 80s. Please ask your child what they learned from Elder Settee’s teachings.

Ms Ansell is hosting a club for girls called Go Girls. This club will be geared for girls between the ages of 8-9 and will be about three lunch hours a week for the next six weeks. During our noon hour sessions the girls will talk about lots of “girl” issues such as friendship (what it means to be a friend), nutrition, and self-esteem. All topics will be grade/age appropriate. There will be no extra homework for the girls;
