Tornadoes Three-Peat
The SHSAA 3A football provincial crown remains firmly with the Peacock Tornadoes.
There was some history made on Saturday in Saskatoon.
The Peacock Tornadoes joined an exclusive club by capturing their third straight 3A football provincial championship with a 23-5 win over the Bishop Mahoney Saints at the Saskatoon Minor Football Field.
The win puts this era of Peacock football among the greatest in local history as they’re just the third team ever from Moose Jaw to win three straight provincial titles,
Read More»All Toilers Final in Junior Girls Volleyball
For the third straight year, the Moose Jaw High School Junior Girls Volleyball League’s championship game was an all-Peacock affair.
Peacock 1 came away with a straight set win over Peacock 2 (25-13, 25-11) in the final of the league playoffs on Monday night.
“I’m really proud of the girls, they fought hard all season, we went to lots of tournaments and they worked their butts off to get here, so it feels really good,” said Peacock 1 head coach Krista Caplette.

Back-to-back championships didn’t come easy for the Peacock Toilers on Thursday night.
The Central Cyclones gave the Toilers everything that they could handle during their Moose Jaw High School Senior Boys Volleyball League championship game, but Peacock had an answer for everything, coming away with a three-set win at Sask Polytech.
“We played some good volleyball, we just didn’t get some of the breaks and Peacock played phenomenal,” said Central head coach Shaune Gray.

For the fourth straight year, the Peacock Tornadoes are on top in the Moose Jaw High School Football League.
The Tornadoes continued their incredible run with a 28-14 win over the Central Cyclones in the championship game on Saturday afternoon at Gutheridge Field.
“I’m proud of our guys for grinding it out, we knew it wasn’t going to be an easy game,” said Peacock head coach Blake Buettner.
