Ceremony marks next step in response to Truth and Reconciliation calls to action
A Treaty 4 flag was raised at Peacock Collegiate on Thursday for the first time in the school’s history.
“It’s a simple but very important step that we take to recognize the relationship that was established between First Nations and non-Aboriginal people some 143 years ago when Treaty 4 was signed in Fort Qu’Appelle,” said Peacock principal Dustin Swanson.
Read More»5th Annual Peacock Polar Bear Run
On Sunday, December 6th the 5th annual Peacock Polar Bear Run took place in the Wakamow Valley. Over 150 runners and walkers participated in the 5km charity event which raises money for the Terry Fox Foundation. This year the donations totaled in excess of $5,000. Over the last five years Peacock students, staff, and community members have raised over $20,000 for the foundation. On Thursday, June 18th will be the 3rd annual Peacock Car Show hosted in our parking lot from 4pm to 8pm. The event is open to the public and is open to all vehicles and bikes. A concession will be on site so bring an appetite. Call the school if you have any questions and there is no need to pre-register.

During the next two weeks Peacock students and staff are taking part in a classroom fundraising challenge to raise money for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Peacock has partnered for many years with Yara Belle Plaine in support of the annual Z99 Radioathon which takes place on March 19th and 20th. Period 3 classes have challenged each other to raise the most amount they can. Families who require a tax receipt should contact the office so arrangements can be made.
