Free Healthy Kids Initiative
Physical Activity – Dietary – Cognitive Behavior Education – Social Support
The FREE 12 week Healthy Kids Initiative will consist of:
- Being active 5 days a week while supervised and taught by an exercise expert (Kinesiologist)
- Education sessions every 2 weeks with a food expert (Registered Dietitian) to learn about how food affects your health
- Education sessions every 2 weeks with a behavior expert (Psychologist or Social Worker) to help start and maintain behaviors that will improve your health
- Bringing a “buddy” and a parent/caregiver so you don’t have to do it alone and help support you during the program
- occurs at the local YMCA in Saskatoon,
