  • Good luck to our Bantam Girl Volleyball Team as they participate in North Sections tonight in Rouleau.
  • After being put on hold the last few years, we are very excited bring back the Santa Store!  This store gives our younger students the opportunity to do their Christmas shopping right here at the school.  The store will be stocked with donated articles of new or gently used items.  If you have any items that would be suitable for the store, we would be happy to take them! Watch for details coming home over the next few weeks.
  • Save those bottles and cans – our Grade 12 class will be holding their annual Bottle Drive Fundraiser on Sunday, October 30.   Details on attached poster.
  • Save the Date!  The SCC is busy making plans for a Winter Extravaganza on December 8.  Watch for more information as details are finalized.
  • Attention Grade 12 parents and students:  are you interested in finding out about finance options for post-secondary education?  If so, you might want to check out the PACC Poster (Parents As Career Coaches: Financing Your Child’s Education)

Cultural Opportunity for Your Family

Looking for a unique cultural experience for your family? Try hosting an international high school student this year!

Welcoming an international student to your home is a great way to learn about another country and culture, build lifelong relationships and share your home, language, and culture with a high school student from other countries.

These students have been accepted to study at a high school within the Prairie South District School Board. During their stay, students will live with a local family and experience daily life in Canada while developing their English language skills through this immersion experience.

Host families provide a home away from home for these high school students providing a warm and comfortable environment, three meals per day and the opportunity to become a family member. Host families are compensated monthly to offset the cost of hosting. The program is provided via student exchange company, YES Canada, in partnership with the Prairie South School Board, with local support from a YES Canada local coordinator in the Prairie South region, who assists students and hosts for the duration.
