Legend, Literacy, Legacy Presentation with Bryan Trottier & Sigmund Brouwer

Coming up on Tuesday, December 15th at 2:00 pm!

NHL Hall of Famer Bryan Trottier, (born and raised in Val Marie), joins Sigmund Brouwer, (a Canadian author of children’s and adult books) to connect with your class virtually, to share key points about reaching your dreams while underscoring the importance of reading and writing as a foundation for each student’s personal Stanley Cup.  They will be using a combination of stories, music, and videos to engage and motivate for the live (virtual), 45-minute presentation.  A secure zoom link is shared with each classroom and can be projected onto your smart board.  Students will be able to respond to questions and comments sent via the chat box.  At-home students will receive a link as well, so they can participate as individuals.  There will also be a 15-minute Q & A at the end.  The presentation includes two free eBooks (Sigmund Brouwer) for each student, and an eBook for the teacher.

Winner of seven Stanley Cups, Bryan is considered the most-decorated First Nations athlete in all of sports history.  He belongs to an elite group of only five NHL players — including Bobby Orr — who have won a combination of Stanley Cups, the Calder Memorial Trophy (rookie of the year), Art Ross Trophy (scoring championship) Hart Memorial Trophy (most valuable player) and Conn Smyth Trophy (playoff most valuable player).  He is also in the All-Time Top 100 List of NHL Players.
