There are many scholarships available to you today, and a wide variety of criteria used to select the successful students.<\/p>\n

As a Prairie South student, you are privileged to have access to a\u00a0number of scholarship opportunities<\/a>\u00a0available only to students in our communities and\/or division. These were made possible through the generosity of community members over the years.<\/p>\n

CORONACH SCHOOL LOCAL AND SURROUNDING AREA SCHOLARSHIPS:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our local and surrounding area scholarship forms are yearly updated (typically starting in January of the current year). Please speak with your school principal if you need an updated\/current scholarship form to which one has not already been provided on this website.<\/p>\n

(1) Access Communications Scholarship ($1,000.00) [UPDATED 2026]<\/strong><\/p>\n

This scholarship is based on community involvement and academics. The student must be a Saskatchewan resident and planning on attending a post secondary education.<\/p>\n

(2) Hart Butte Community Farms (HBCF) Scholarship ($500.00) [UPDATED 2026]<\/strong><\/p>\n

This scholarship will be awarded to every graduating student who is persuing secondary education of any kind.<\/p>\n

(3) \u00a0Coronach School Community Council Participation Scholarship ($150.00) [UPDATED 2026]<\/strong><\/p>\n

This scholarship is awarded to an \u201call-around\u201d individual who actively participates in both the school and community.<\/p>\n

\u00a0(4) Claude Rousseau Bursary ($200.00) [UPDATED 2026]<\/strong><\/p>\n

$200 Bursary to the student with the highest average who is planning to enter the trades program in Saskatchewan the year that it is presented. The student must complete at least one year at that trade course.<\/p>\n

(5) Southland Co-op Ltd. Scholarship ($1,000.00) [UPDATED 2026]<\/strong><\/p>\n

Four scholarships will be awarded throughout the Southland Co-op Trading Area at the Board\u2019s Discretion. The scholarships will be awarded to graduates continuing with post-secondary education.\u00a0 Special consideration will be given to the fields of pharmacy, retail meat cutting, business management (general management, accounting, human resources, marketing) safety officer, class 1A driver and information technology.<\/p>\n

Conexus will be awarding prizes to\u00a0eight talented students graduating across our province to continue their education. In choosing the winners, we will be looking for students who are making a positive impact in their communities through their leadership and volunteerism. 7) CUPE5512 Scholarship ($100.00) [UPDATED 2026]<\/strong><\/p>\n

Any graduating student whose parent belongs to CUPE Local #5506 or belongs to the CUPE Local #5506 themselves and are in good standing. The student must be attending post secondary education and have acceptable academic standing.<\/p>\n

8) E. Bourassa & Sons Scholarship ($1,000.00) [UPDATED 2026]<\/strong><\/p>\n

To qualify for this scholarship, you must be a Grade 12 student residing in
\nSaskatchewan and planning to enroll in post-secondary education in the field of Parts
\nManagement Technician, Parts Technician or Agricultural Equipment Technician. The
\npost-secondary institution you choose does not have to be located in Saskatchewan; it
\ncan be any accredited institution in Canada. This $1,000 scholarship will be awarded
\nupon receipt of proof of enrollment.<\/p>\n

E. Bourassa & Sons Scholarship Application<\/a><\/p>\n

9) The Catholic Women\u2019s League ($100.00) [UPDATED 2026]<\/strong><\/p>\n

A scholarship in the amount of $100 given to the student with the third highest average in Grade 12 at the quarter 3 reporting period.<\/p>\n

10) Student Representative Council (SRC) Scholarship ($150.00) [UPDATED 2026]<\/strong><\/p>\n

A scholarship in the amount of $150 given to the student with the second highest average in Grade 12 at the quarter 3 reporting period.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

11) Nicole Fister Scholarship ($200.00) [UPDATED 2026]<\/strong><\/p>\n

The scholarship in the amount of $200 is given to the Grade 12 student with the highest average as calculated at the quarter 3 reporting period.<\/p>\n

This student will also automatically receive the Governor General Award<\/strong><\/em> and be selected as Class Valedictorian.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

12) Coronach Volunteer Firefighter Bursary ($500) [UPDATED 2026]<\/strong><\/p>\n

This scholarship in the amount of $500.00 will be offered to the students who have been an active member as a Coronach Volunteer Firefighter.<\/p>\n

13) Derek Knudson Fellowship Award [UPDATED 2026]<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Fellowship Award is a peer-nominated honor that recognizes a graduating student who has made a meaningful impact on others through kindness, compassion, understanding, and genuine support. Each year, Grade 12 students are invited to select one classmate who best exemplifies these qualities\u2014someone who has positively influenced their peers simply by being there for others.\u00a0Established in May 2007, the Fellowship Award is dedicated to the memory of Derek Knudson, a former student of Coronach School. Derek was known for his character, empathy, and the way he connected with those around him\u2014traits that continue to define the spirit and purpose of this award.<\/p>\n

14) Kelsey Wrolson Memorial Scholarship ($500.00) [UPDATED 2026]<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Kelsey Wrolsen Memorial Scholarship is chosen through a draw that needs to be applied for to a graduating student who plans to pursue post-secondary education of any kind in the fall following graduation. This scholarship honors the memory of Kelsey Wrolsen, who was known for his compassion, fairness, strength, and strong work ethic. Kelsey had a deep passion for farming and an even greater love for his family and friends. Remembered for his kind heart and the genuine way he connected with others, Kelsey was a friend to everyone and a joy to be around. This award reflects the values he lived by and celebrates students who carry those same qualities forward.<\/p>\n

Kelsey Wrolson Memorial Scholarship<\/a><\/p>\n

15) Conrad Gerde Friendship Award ($300.00) [UPDATED 2026]<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Conrad Gerde Friendship Award is a peer nominated award established to honor the life of Conrad Gerde\u2014a lifelong Coronach resident, devoted family man, proud Coronach School alumni, and someone who deeply valued relationships, kindness, and community. Conrad was known for being supportive, dependable, and always willing to lend a hand. He believed strongly in treating others with respect and making those around him feel valued and included. This award recognizes a graduating Grade 12 student who exemplifies friendship, kindness, and genuine care for others, and who positively contributes to the school community through their character and relationships. This award reflects Conrad\u2019s belief that strong character, kindness, and meaningful relationships are just as important as academic or athletic achievements.<\/span><\/p>\n
