About Riverview Collegiate Institute
Riverview Collegiate Institute (RVCI) opened its doors in September of 1959. The purpose for a new school at that time was to provide an educational environment for highschool students from South Hill, Bushell Park (the Canadian Forces Base), and for rural students.
Riverview is located within Treaty 4 Territory, the original lands of the Cree, Saulteaux, Dakota, Nakoda, and Lakota, and homeland of the Metis Nation.
Currently Riverview serves the needs of about 130 students in grade 9-12. We offer a unique opportunity for students to take their courses on a two class, five block system.
At Riverview we are like a family and believe in getting to know all students by their name, strength and need. We work hard to ensure all students have a sense of belonging as they navigate their high school experience. Our school motto is “where everybody is somebody”.
In June 2022, our school won a National Inclusive Education Award. Click here to read more.
