Registration for Power Engineering Students Outside of Prairie South 2020
  • Textbooks:

    1) If textbooks are not returned by July 15th, the respective school division will be invoiced $500

    2) There are 3 textbooks, Book 1, Book 2, Book 3 - if any of the Books (1,2 or 3) are missing then $500 will be invoiced.

    3) If textbooks are returned with damage above normal wear-and-tear then the school division will be invoiced for the damage. The fee for textbook damage will be determined by the library technician managing the textbooks.

  • Refunds

    Semester I:

    1) A full refund will be provided if a student withdraws from the course prior to the first day of classes - September 5th.

    2) If a student withdraws from Introduction to Power Engineering 20L by September 15th – half of the course tuition will be refunded.

    Semester II:

    1) A full refund will be provided if a student withdraws from the course prior to the first day of classes - Feb 1st.

    2) If a student withdraws from Introduction to Power Engineering 30L by February 15th – half of the course tuition will be refunded.

  • Work Study (Steam Time)

    Students achieve their steam time by attending shifts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Students are responsible for transporting themselves to and from the plant and mobile lab.

    PE 20 - Semester I: (50 hours)

    (3) 8-hour shifts at Power Plant

    (3) 8-hour shifts at Mobile Lab


    PE 30 - Semester II: (50 hours)

    (3) 8-hour shifts at Power Plant

    (3) 8-hour shifts at Mobile Lab

  • Student Demographics

  • We prefer that students use their personal email accounts. Please try and aviod using Hotmail. Hotmail often will deliver emails to the spam/junk mail folder. Google email works very well.
    Do you have a media consent form signed by your Parent, allowing you to have your picture taken and for the picture to be used in media (print and on the Internet)?
  • Please inform us of any medical conditions which we need to be aware of when working in the plant and mobile lab trailer. In the plant you will experience working at various heights.

  • Note: You must have your exams supervised at a school, college, university or board office. The cooperating teacher or adult at one of these locations can supervise your exams. You are responsible to make these arrangements.
  • Passwords to unlock the online unit exams will be emailed to the cooperating teacher.
