On June 7, the alumni of Mrs. Lagassé’s Health Science 20 class ventured to Regina for a day of career exploration. They started by visiting the “Body Worlds” display at the Saskatchewan Science Centre, where their knowledge of anatomy and disease processes grew exponentially. Then after lunch, they toured the many areas of the Saskatchewan Disease Control Laboratory. We even got the chance to see a former graduate of EGS, Santana (Strieb) Pinsonneault, hard at work in the Microbiology lab. The intense day wrapped up on a high note with a visit to the STARS Regina Base. Climbing into the helicopter was definitely a highlight of the day! Perhaps some of these young people will be our tour guides on a future visit…
