The month of September has been a busy one, with students getting back into the routine of school. There have been lots of projects started, including these from Mme Munteanu’s class.

On June 21, National Aboriginal Day, a new tradition was started at Ecole Gravelbourg School. In Aboriginal culture, a star blanket is a cherished gift that symbolizes respect and honor. It is given to community members who are revered. The staff and students of EGS… 

Members of the Ronald McDonald House Fundraising Club traveled to Saskatoon to present a cheque and toys to a representative of the house.  The girls held three events (two movie nights and a bake sale), and took in some private donations. There was an on-going… 

Congratulations to Zoee and Vincent, who will be representing Ecole Gravelbourg School in Regina at the regional competition for mixed doubles in badminton in May. This comes after their gold medal win.  

The EGS elementary choir, led by Mrs. G-B and Miss Stene participated in the music festival and won first place. Congratulations to both the song birds and their directors.

EGS students are continuing to bring medals home. Julien earned a silver medal in the boys’ singles. Bronze medals were won by Michaela and Raquel in girls’ doubles, Chantal and Zachary in mixed doubles, Justin and Ben in boys’ doubles, and Courtney in girls’ singles… 

Vince and Zoee won a gold medal for mixed doubles at their last tournament play.

The boil water advisory has been lifted. Students can now fill their water bottles from the fountains.
