FIRE PREVENTION WEEK
Fire Prevention Week ended with a visit from our local firefighters. They brought their gear and spoke to students from kindergarten to grade 3. They stressed the importance of having both smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, along with a written plan so that families know what to do in case of an emergency. The young people were invited to try on boots, jackets and helmets, which they did with great enthusiasm.
They are now waiting to find out who will be the lucky winner of a ride on the firetruck and lunch out with the local heroes.
